Hi Morane, how are you doing today?
First of all, thank you for asking that’s a question we should all ask each other more often. I’m doing amazing. It really feels like life is throwing blessings my way lately, and I’m enjoying every moment of it.
You’re an artist. When did you first know music was your thing?
I think I realized music was “my thing” when I noticed that, even though I have a bubbly and open personality, I’ve always found it hard to truly express my emotions. Singing random feelings just to release them became my form of therapy and I knew then that music was my way of expressing myself and sharing that with the world.
What drew you to R&B and soul in particular?
Emotions haha. I’ve always been a hopeless romantic. I love love, and everything that comes with it: the good and the bad. For me, R&B and soul are all about making people feel something, transcending emotion. And honestly, I’m little miss dramatic, so it just fits perfectly.
Who are a few artists we need to add to our playlists right now?
I’m going to use this question to highlight some of my favorite Belgian artists because we have so much talent here.
First off my brother, Che. He’s one of the best out there right now, especially for his age.
Arno Sacco is an incredible vocalist he’s truly next level.
Jengman really surprised me, his sound is super unique.
Sali is amazing too her style is very distinctive and her energy is beautiful.
Abigail Johnson is someone I deeply believe in. Her vocals are insane, and I can’t wait to hear what she’s cooking up.
And Emma Bale her voice and harmonies get me every time.
I’m probably forgetting a few, but those are the names that come to mind right now.
What’s something you’ve made or done that you’re really proud of?
This is a fun question, because honestly I’m very hard on myself, and I don’t get proud of my own work easily. But “Can’t Go” is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever made. I remember working on it and, for the first time, really feeling proud. I’m super critical of my own music and others’ too, to be fair so when I say something is good, I mean it. That track is still one of the best I’ve written in my opinion.
The song is truly amazing! What does your songwriting process usually look like?
To be honest, I’m not a “traditional” songwriter. Most of my songs are actually freestyled. I usually start with a beat, and as it builds, I start hearing whispers in my mind that’s when I begin mumbling, and those mumblings slowly turn into words. I don’t plan a topic ahead of time, I just let it flow and allow the song to create itself. When I’m writing with other people, though, we’ll usually sit down and agree on a theme or message we want to explore.
On average, how long does it take for you to finish a track, from first idea to final version?
I’m honestly so slow it’s almost embarrassing! Because I’m constantly judging my own process, it can take me months to finish a track. Luckily, the people I work with help push me to move faster when needed. That’s definitely something I’m working on improving.

Good things take time! What’s your favorite part of being an artist?
Performing. 100%. I love being on stage, sharing my work, and hopefully inspiring others. That’s where I feel the most alive, and I think that’s one of my biggest strengths.
Which social media platform do you enjoy most?
TikTok, definitely. I love how people don’t take themselves too seriously on there, it feels light, creative, and real. It brings us closer to artists and their work. Instagram, on the other hand, feels way too serious now. It’s almost like a creative resume ,everyone’s trying to look perfect all the time, and that’s just not me.
Do you actually like being on social media, or does it feel more like a ‘must’ as an artist?
I do enjoy it to an extent. It’s the pressure to stay consistent that gets exhausting. I prefer posting when I genuinely feel like it. That “post three times a day” mentality? Not for me. I’ve made peace with that. My mental peace comes before social media pressure. I’d rather focus on writing good music.
And music-wise? What are you working on at the moment, and when can we expect to hear something new?
2025 is definitely my “locked-in-the-studio” year. I’m working with different people from all over, experimenting with different sounds, and really refining my craft. I’m creating freely, without pressure. I might drop a few features here and there, but my own solo music will take a bit longer. All I can say is when I come back, I’ll be here to stay.
We’re so excited to see your future plans!! Tell us something to inspire the culture!
There’s so much I want to say, but I’ll leave you with this: Don’t feel pressured by your surroundings or by social media to constantly share or release your art. Focus on your craft. Study it. Learn about it. Learn about yourself. Don’t be afraid to explore new things, try different styles, work with new people even in other countries. Stop overthinking every little step. And most importantly: create for YOU.
